This sea stack is located on the Oregon Coast, just south of the town of Gold Beach, OR. The sun was starting to set when I arrived to take some photographs and it proceeded to be one of the most spectacular sunsets I've even seen. The show seemed to go on for over 15 minutes, with the colors in the sky continuing to change, evolving slowly into ever warmer shades. I liked the blue sky and crispness of the clouds that appeared to be dancing in the sky.
The painting was accepted for display in CAL EXPO, California's State Fair, in the year 2007, and won an award of merit in the show.
